Slate and satchel commonly used in primary schools prior to World War 2; exercise book was produced by local traders in the Brunswick and Brunswick West area for free distribution to students.Leather school satchel, with slate and exercise book. Exercise book entitled "Brunswick West and North-West State Schools Homework Exercise Book", probably produced between 1926 and mid 1930s.
