This is a pamphlet from after electric light was connected to the campground. The pamphlet mentions that electric light and a hot water service have been installed. Record 384 is an earlier version of the same pamphlet, before the electric lights were installed. The front and back pages are shown as the main photo and the centre pages are available under 'Additional Images'. This is a four page, folded pamphlet entitled Souvenir of the Grampians, which was issued by the Hall's Gap Picnic and camping Reserve Committee. It has a large photo of 'The Pinnacle' on the front. The centre pages contain a photo of the 'Comfort Station', a History of the Grampians, a dot-point list of Camp Ground Facilities and information about the Hall's Gap Picnic and Camping Reserve. Arthur Henry Dear was an employee of the City of Kew, acting as Hall Keeper of the Kew Recreation Hall in Wellington Street, and later the new Kew City Hall in Cotham Road. The Arthur Dear Collection contains memorabilia - tickets, programmes, invitations - as well as his identification badge. Items in the collection dates from the 1940s to the 1960s. The Kew Recreation Hall (Wellington Street) and later the Kew City Hall (Cotham Road) were major locations in suburban Melbourne in the postwar period for civic and private events including theatre productions and exhibitions. The Arthur Dear Collection (in conjunction with the scrapbooks compiled by Marion Tilley) provide a comprehensive snapshot of performing arts in Kew during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. In the event, they were covered anyway. She did not even view them again until 1992, around the time the murals were cleaned and restored. The left mural shows pioneer transport and on the right is the future. Dear Sir, The Committee of the Association has decided to hold the Seventh Annual Re-Union of Members in the Mechanics Hall on Saturday, 11th October 1919 at Eight PM. The alteration of the Night meeting from Friday to Saturday proved such a huge success last year that the committee has decided to again hold the meeting on Saturday, and it is to be hoped that members will do their utmost to be present and help to make the function a sucess. The extension of the radius for membership from four to seven miles has resulted in a large influx of new members, but it is certain that there are many more eligible, and members are urged to use their influence in getting additional members. Members are again invited to forward to the Secretary the names of their sons or any old pupils of the district school who have enlisted for service abroad, as a complete list is desired for an Honor Board to be hung in the Castlemaine Town Hall. nominations for the General Committee must be in the hands of the Secretary on or before October 4th to enable him to have ballot papers printed for distribution on the night of the re-union. Part of a photographic record of Buninyong township. The buildings range from 1960s back to 1896, 1887, 1866, to a remnant of 1855, hidden within the shop of D. Brown electrician, consequently reflecting much alteration and change when compared to earlier photos.The streetscape is of historic significance, recording the detail of the streetscape in 1993. Many of the buildings have since undergone significant renovation/change.Streetscape of Learmonth St., Buninyong, looking over roundabout to Town Hall and businesses. Elm trees in the grounds of the Uniting (formerly Presbyterian) Church are seen in the background. Buildings are the fire station, council offices, Town Hall, Whykes Butchers, M. & D. Brown electrician, Buninyong Cake Shop and former bank, now a residence. Oak trees are in front of the council offices and shire hall. One tree planted in 1959 to mark the occasion of the connection of a water supply to Buninyong. A variety of elm is at the end of the row outside the Bank, now a residence.
