A Collection of Street Parade Photographs: Three photos all black and white. The first is of the S.E.C. float with *The Magic Servant* being pulled by a tractor with two men aboard. The float is of grass and flowers. Three children are on the float holding signs of Heat, Power, ?. A girl stands in a decorative shell. The street scene is lined with many people and cars of the day are parked at the road edge. The second is of the White Christmas Golden Square Mothers Club. A truck is decorated with a large Christmas tree with children dressed for winter. At the right is a sign*Bendigo Olympic Pool Fun is now open* on the balcony with a crowd of people. The streets are lined with spectators with flags flying above the parade. The Third is a float carrying a train with VR in flowers on the side and a floral display on the float. White cotton full length ladies petticoat. Made of five pieces - two at the back, three at the front. Back opening. Very tightly gathered onto a waistband (4cm). Back section of waistband has horizontal stitching to form casings for four narrow cotton ties. Ties extend from hips on either side across the back opening to be used for tightening and closing the opening. Lower edge finished with cotton cord. Giving: members of the Cobden tent No. 39 independent Order of Rechabites in front of their building in California Gully, 1922. the order operated between 1865-1978. Most of the Gully's leading men were members, including Brother C. Blainey (father of professor Geoff Blainey), one time manager of the Bendigo Advertiser, Brother W. Stephens, Brother Batten Perrow, three brothers Speedy, five Brothers Richards, Phillips and Robertson. The Archie Robertson memorial seat is still in the Gully near the site of the old lodge room. Hanro Stand Alone Counter Display Picture: A coloured picture of two men on the golf course playing golf modelling Hanro knitwear. One has on a beige long sleeve V necked cardigan. The pockets on either side have a pleat in the centre and a band at the top. The garment has a small vertical brown stripe running through out the fabric, it is buttoned up with five brown buttons. The other is a yellow V necked vest. The Vest is knitted in a small cable pattern with knit bands around the neck and arms. At the bottom on the picture is a label with white background and *Hanro in red and black print and Knitwear for men*. The very bottom printed in yellow is *'The Quality Is A Proud Tradition. The material for the front is plastic covered card. The back is green tin. A brown card rectangular strip used for a stand and has two metal holes with string attached.
