A Vale notice for Legatee Charles 'Carl' Carleton. He was an architect after World War 1. He as an early member of Legacy (possibly a founder). The article mentions the first boys camp in 1926, when 32 boys camped in 7 tents on the land of Legatee Savige. Legatee Carleton used his professional skills to have permanent buildings erected at very low cost. He was pivotal in the formation of the Intermediate Legacy Club. "Best wishes on the eve of his departure for the war from your old tennis mate, Private Robert Harris, No. 2073, 8th Reinforcements, 24th Battalion" Private Robert Jubilee Harris, printer of Kangaroo Ground, on the far right, was the son of Robert Charles Harris, printer and former editor of the Evelyn Observer which preceded the Advertiser.
