Official R.S.L Tankard commemorating the involvement of Australian service personnel in The Vietnam War. This tankard has three pictures representing: (1) Fifth Battalion Royal Australian Regiment in Vietnam, 1966, (2) RAAF Helicopters in Vietnam, (3) HMAS Hobart off North Vietnam Coast, 1967. (refer item 00124, 00124.1, 00124.2 and 00124.3)

The Official RSL Tankard Collection issued to commemorate the four main conflicts in which Australian service personnel had participated prior to issue in 1983. This limited edition set of four tankards was manufactured by Franklin Mint and was exclusively for RSL members. Each tankard depicts three scenes relating to the particular conflict represented. The tankards are circular and incorporate a handle. Each of these large tankards is made of white glazed porcelain and has a capacity of 0.6 litres. provenance unknownSmall, soft cover, pocketbook presumably souvenired from a German soldier during the latter stages of World War 2. The pocketbook is of the type originally issued by the German military and was printed in August 1941, edited by Georg Westermann, Braunschweig. The book has a red coloured cover with black printing and contains 48 pages. Pages are printed in black, the maps are printed in colour. The pocketbook is in good condition, some pages have tears and the cover is scuffed. The pocket book title translates as "Paperback Greater Germany, History Chart, Germany's Wehrmacht, World Atlas" and is a collection of information about the German Reich, German military units and insignia and world maps, 1942 calendar, etc. The original owner has made markings on some maps and has made notes.The front cover is printed in black ink with the following "Taschenbuch Groß-Deutschland, Geschichtstafel, Deutschlands Wehrmacht, Weltatlas"

World War 2 brass munition cases of Japanese and Australian origins. This is an example of 'trench art' having been made into a flower vase. Vase is a Japanese brass 30mm anti-aircraft shell case with a 1938 Territory of New Guinea silver one shilling coin affixed to the side of the shell case. the top of the case is slighltly splayed to form a decorative lip. Either side of the case are two Australian .303 spent cartridges vertically mounted and attached by two further cut-down .303 cases. The vertical cartridge cases have bullets insertedThe 30mm case has several Japanese characters on the base, naval anchors and the English S4/17 The .303 cases are marked M6 VII 1942

A pocket sized marching compass enclosed in a wooden container with a hinged lid. This is a dry type compass with a floating rotary dial marked with the major and minor compass points and an outer circular dial marked from 0 to 360 degrees in 10 degrees increments. The compass container is marked J. WARDALE & Co., LONDON, 1918 No 6341.

A matching set of condiments dispensers consisting of a salt, pepper and mustard pots made from fuse fittings removed from artillery projectiles. The fuses have been modified, the salt and pepper shakers have a removable aluminium screw top for refilling and the mustard pot has the aluminium top hinged to open the pot. The removable salt and pepper shaker tops have been drilled with small diameter holes and the bottoms of all of the pieces have been sealed with a brass disc which acts as a base. These are manufactured from military hardware items and are thus classified as examples of trench art. The fuses are marked with a scale which is used for setting the fuse timing in graduations from 0 to 55 in increments of 5 around the body of the fuse with the letter 'S' (for safe) at the midpoint of the scale. The fuses are marked with a scale "0 to 55" in increments of 5 with the letter 'S' at the midpoint.

A type of hot water bottle carried by aircraft pilots and crew to keep themselves warm whilst flying at high altitudes. The bottle is made of Aluminium and was carried in a pocket of their flying suit.

Donated by Frank Verco service number R62418, who enlisted in the RAN as a young man. Frank was posted to the HMAS Voyager and was on board when the ship was involved in an accident which resulted in it's sinking in February 1964. Fortunately Frank was uninjured, he was in the bow area of the ship at the time of the accident Frank and went down with that section of the ship. Frank later served on the HMAS Sydney ferrying troops to Vietnam. Frank was in the RAN for three years, his rank was Ordinary Seaman/Electrical Mechanic.Royal Australian Navy ratings cap worn by able seamen when in uniform, this white cap has a tally band and chinstrap in black material with the embroidered name "H.M.A.S. VOYAGER". This type of cap is a personal purchase for 'wearing out' and is known to sailor's as a "tiddly" hat. The hat has internal red (for Port) and green (for Starboard) lining bands and a blue sweat band.embroidered tally band with the inscription : "H. M. A. S. VOYAGER" and the name "F. J. VERCO" written inside. The inside lining has the imprint "Manufactured Expressly for Sinbad Trading Company Melbourne, Made in England"

WW2 identification tag made of sterling silver. This identification tag belonged to Leading Aircraftsman Leslie John Rickards, service number 405698, 12th Squadron, RAAF. Rickards enlisted in Brisbane on the 24th May, 1941 and was discharged on 4th Deecember, 1945.

Gallipoli Lone Pine: two-up set. This commemorative two-up set features an engraved kip made of Gallipoli Lone Pine timber, a velvet pouch, and two copper coins bearing the AWM logo and a First World War soldier. The kip is made from a branch that fell from the Lone Pine Tree during a storm in 2008. This tree was grown from a seed sent back from Gallipoli in 1915.

Linen holdall containing a sewing and repair kit issued to Royal Australian Navy sailors. The holdall is navy blue. The kit contains a variety of spare buttons, cottons and sewing needles and a thimble. The holldall has an embroidered label with the following 'MADE IN AUSTRALIA, R.E.V. YARD, R.A.N."
