There are two banners at the bottom with the words: - " Australian Commonwealth Military Forces". There is a small patch of corrosion on the crown. This shirt has an 'R' on each board indicating that the wearer had retired. Part of the Reverend Chaplain Major Thomas Bruce Williams, No556101, Collection.Khaki short sleeved polyester shirt with two button down breast pockets. A pair of boards are attached to the epaulettes, each with a major's insignia, a letter R and chaplains' department badge. On each collar is a gold coloured metal gross. A purple lanyard is threaded under the right epaulette, around the right sleeve and secures to the right breast pocket. This is one pair of 1938 USA Pattern gaiters. They are made of canvas and have a webbing strap that goes under the boot. The buckle fitting is black painted steel. One edge of the gaiter has black printed etelets, the other edge has black metal hoops, There is a cotton bootlace tied to the gaiter. The colour is jungle green. Part of the Reverend Chaplain Major Thomas Bruce Williams, No 556101, Collection.Khaki battle dress trousers in wool fabric with pleated front. Waistband and pockets lined with light khaki cotton drill fabric. Wide waistband secured with three brown bakelite buttons Inside the waistband are six brown bakelite buttons used to secure braces. On each outer side of the waistband are two tabs with metal fasteners used to adjust the waistband. Extra buttons are sewn onto the outside of the waistband. A zipper fly is on the front of the trousers. Pockets consist of two hip with button down flaps, two lined side and one left leg cargo with button down flap.
