Original oil painting, by Harry Clarke of mud brick house & outbuildings near Eaglehawk Golf Course, in a timber frame, signature bottom right corner, with note stuck on rear. Harry Clark lived in Lobb St North Bendigo with his wife and son Max in 1940s. He moved around working for thre mines including Central Deborah (managing or as an inspector). he lived in Alice Springs for a while. He shifted to Wangaratta where he died aged in his 80s. A., the longer saw has a temporary repair of the handle with wire restraining the cracked timber handle * Third saw has Albert E Pittock inscribed in the steel blade, Pittock is also etched into the timber handle. Sepia portrait of Horatio St Vincent Busst, born Bendigo 1866, died Kew 8/6/1940, educated at St Killians and Bendigo High School, in 1883 was appointed Mining Warden of Sandhurst and in 1889 was appointed Mining Registrar for the district of Sandhurst. Father Thomas Walter Busst native of Staffordshire England arrived in Bendigo 1856. Brother T.W.Busst Junior was an Australian Amateur Cycling Champion.
