Railways Collection -Black and white photo -William Beazley Bullock Team Riley 1890. The photo is a little hazy -it shows a timber mill. Ten men are posing for the photo and a log is being pulled up a ramp on a bogey into the mill (mechanically ?). A (30 Ft long ?) is being pulled by a Bullock team consisting of ten Bullocks. The log is on a four wheeled cart .The wooden spoked wheels are about 4- 5 ft high One man is holding an axe. The Jackson Creek Viaduct is a bridge about 24 miles from Melbourne and is 80 feet high being constructed of Footscray Bluestone piers and abutments and wrought iron girders. The girders were made in England and delivered to the colony by the time the the piers were ready to receive them.
