Shows the open doors with the bars down. Photo of the tram slightly out of focus. Taken early 1950's by an unknown photographer. In the overhead shows a sign black cross in a circular disc and behind the tram a incandescent light suspended in the middle of the overhead. The photo shows the construction of the track at this location, dog spiked sleepers, the rail supports for the inner check rail. Colour print mounted within a large card frame of A class 281, westbound on Collins St at the Exhibition St stop. Tram has the destination of City, Route 42 and an Advertisements for Ford exhaust systems. In the driver's window is the run number "K38" Behind the tram is a W class tram that appears to be showing route 17. Photo could be early 1990's, route 42 became route 109 in 2003 when the extension opened to Box Hill. Route 17 ran until 2/1997. Having a run number will also assist in dating the photograph. Model of Melbourne City Circle tram No. 1000 in a presentation cardboard box, made by Cooee Concepts Pty Ltd in China. Tram secured into the card box by two screws just behind the life guard. Made from plastic with trolley poles from metal (trolley poles can be moved) green roof, red and gold sides, black No. 15 trucks, advertising the Melbourne Open Tennis Court on the skyline advertising boards. Record - vinyl based with paper card jacket and plastic record cover - 331/3 rpm microgroove vinyl record, or "LP", titled "Destination City". Jacket has a stylised view of the intersection of Flinders and Swanston Streets and Flinders St railway station with W2 233 in the top right hand corner. On the rear are extensive details of each of the 11 recording tracks featuring various trams around Melbourne. The vinyl disk itself has a blue label with the title, speed and side number. Produced and recorded by Ormond Slater and Ewen Cameron in 1969 with the assistance of the Australasian Post and the TMSV. Two copies held - 2nd copy added 18-9-15 - was on display in Main room until April 2015 - from Norm Cross. Manufactured badge or employee pass - brass with nickel plate finish with a green and gold glazed paint finish and a single hole in one side with a raised, engraved with the Metropolitan Transit Authority logo and the organisation name.
