The wheat silo was erected on railway land on the west side of the railway line at Sunbury from approx 1970s - 1980s. It served as a grain storage provision for the local cereal farmers.The former CFA depot which was in Evans Street. The building is the former Greenvale State School No. 890. Although a school had been functioning at Greenvale since 1870. This is a photo of the school building that was renovated in 1926. At weekends the building was often used for family gatherings and social functions in the district. As the area became developed and changed from a country settlement to a suburb, the school was relocated to a new building closer to the new housing development. The existing building became a community centre. The information given with the photograph was that Margaret Baker is buried in the grave in the foreground. She was buried on 17 May 1882 aged 63 and she was from the Sunbury Asylum. She is buried in the Church of England, Section E, Plot 451. The building was the residence of the engineer who was responsible of managing the early electric supply that was installed in Sunbury in 1909. The town's power supply put an end to gas lighting that had been used and homes had the benefit of having electricity connected to their homes. In 1926 the State Electricity Commission took over supplying electrical power to Sunbury. The twenty five debutantes made their debut in Sunbury at the Memorial Hall late c1950s or early 1960s. Mrs Aitken trained the girls for the event.Debutante Balls were a popular annual event in the local Sunbury community and were well attended. The group in the photograph at the opening of the former Sunbury Courthouse. The Courthouse was built in 1885 and functioned in that capacity until 1989 when it closed. In the 1992, Shire of Bulla council began to restore the building, which was completed in 1993. It functioned as a Tourist Information Centre until 2019, when that service was transferred into the new Global Learning Centre in Sunbury. The four people were guests at the official launch of the Alister Clark Memorial Rose Garden in Bulla, which took place on 12th December 1999.
