Set of three items concerning the restoration project for Horse Tram No. 1, by the Ballarat Vintage Tramway, 1986. 2804.1 - Letter on BTPS Letterhead, dated 8/4/1986, standard letter, seeking sponsorship or financial assistance for the project. Drafted for a Trust. Signed by the President, Frank Hanrahan. 2804.2 - 12 page report comb bound, with clear plastic cover, preprinted cover featuring horse tram No. 7 and light card rear back cover, dark blue in colour. Photocopy of a letter dated August 5, 1908, typed on ESCo letterhead to Mr. J. Lazarus Esq advising that he capably acted as Surveyor and Superintending Engineer for the construction of various sections of tramway track in Ballarat and thanking home for his work. Signed by E. James Beauchamp, Assistant Engineer and Manager. Accompanying the photocopy is a photocopy of a letter dated 17/3/1993 from Brian Robertson of 20 Main St Welshpool. Items from Mr. Lazarus had been left to him. Comments that Mr. Lazarus was a well known engineer in Ballarat prior to the first world war. 2944.1 - A4 size sheet of white paper, printed up as a BTPS (BTM) conductor's Revenue Journal for Adults fares as $1.50c, Children $0.80 and all day cards $3.00. Standard BTPS Revenue Journal format that was altered as necessary for the various fares. Known as form T2. Form titled for the "Ballarat Tramways" and has been used on Sunday 29/12/1991 by Andrew Mitchell. Gives the opening and closing numbers, total number issued, pay in values and total cash. Signed by A. Mitchell. 2944.2 - ditto, completed by Austin Brehaut on 15/1/1991, when fares were Adult $1, children 50c and All Day cards - $2.00. 2944.3 - ditto on green paper, completed by P. Mong 9/3/1997, when fares were $1.50 for Adults, 80c for Children and $3.00 for All Day cards. Framed photograph of Terry O'Donnell upon his retirement from the SEC Ballarat Tramways. Photo of Terry standing in front of a SEC tramcar, holding his cap and a controller handle with a sign on the front of the tram marking his years of service, wishing him good luck and other supportive phrases. The black and white photograph has been glued to a sheet of cardboard with the names of the members of the 'SHB & M" (???????) club along the side and the name of the President and Secretary on the top. A stained (brown) wooden frame with cardboard backing, tape and nails securing it to the frame has been used to secure the backing cardboard and photograph. Date of retirement unknown - c1960's?
