Photo features a model tram, No. 41, known as the Treasure Tram with a group of boys and men group at the rear of the tram. Boys are dressed in army or sailors uniforms. Men dressed in army uniform and one SEC conductor with conductors bag around shoulder. From original of another reproduction believed to be held by the Ballarat Historical Society. This photograph shows the floodwaters during the 1971 flood at Orbost. The two mahogany trees in the photograph stopped the Snowy River from changing its course. The 1971 flood was the the worst flood on record. At Jarrahmond it was at least 11 metres and up to one and a half kilometres wide on the flats causing enormous damage to the flood plain. Records say that "The brown floodwater stain in Bass Strait could be seen from passing airliners." Considerable damage was done to railway infrastructure, roads and farms. Between 10.00 am and 4.30 pm, except for a brief lunch stop at the Eltham Living and Learning Centre, members passed about thirty places of local interest and others recommended for the Historic Buildings Register and the Register of the National Estate.
