This register indicates the number of articles being posted during the time and the number and names of people sending and receiving articles.Register commences Nov. 1920 though to Feb. 1951. All Gestener duplicated .1 - Foolscap - 1 sheet - memo to/from Wages Department setting on the various mechanisms for the payment during this visit. .1 - Memorandum printed on quarto paper, duplicated, titled "Memorandum to Official and Clerical Staff - Classification of Officers", dated 28/7/1920 asking the enclosed card to be completed. Shows that the MMTB was trying to get on top of who they had working for them. Notes the system that the person was working for. Two copies held. This was a Slab Hut (Orbost Information Centre) display item. Cast iron was a suitable material for pots and pans because it heats up fairly quickly and retains the heat for some time. Soot from the fire would cover the cast iron and give the pot its black appearance. This was considered good because dark colours absorb heat more readily. The were used for cooking in a variety of situations, such as on an open fire and wood-burning stove. The long handle was essential for cooking on open fires to keep the flame of the fire at a distance, and to avoid burning one’s hand.This pan is an example of a common domestic item used in the late 19th century by early residents of Orbost.A shallow cast iron frying pan with a long tubular handle. Grave of William Poulter (died 13/03/1888) and Mary Poulter (died 18/09/1899) in Plot#B8 Greensborough Cemetery. This damaged monument was restored to its former position.Greensborough Cemetery was created when land was given for the cemetery by Mr William Poulter, a local settler, about 1864.
