Fanny Elizabeth nee Minns Parker, daughter of George Minns was born in Norfolk c.1808, married Nicholas Parker in Melton 1874. They had two sons, John Nicholas. Father Nicholas died circa 1877. Their second son George Minns Parker was born 31st December 1876. Fanny’s house contained external decorative features and corner stonework which was also used in the Willows House. Fanny died circa 1919 Fanny Parker was a friend of Ann Myers. Their sons were born in the same decade. The rate books show her as a dressmaker. A photo of a group of ladies in Williamstown for Operation Float in 1962. The lady second from left is Mrs Violet Allen who led the summer camps at Blamey House for many years. Operation Float was an opportunity for junior legatees to experience sailing or boating on Port Philip Bay, often organised while they were at a summer camp. Junior Legatees from the country were brought to the city for a two week summer camp, often at Blamey House in Kew, while Junior Legatees from the city were billeted with families in the country. At the time Legatee Bert Davis was CFO, and his daughter Louise was asked to help with the running of the Blamey House camp. in 1922 Kergunyah Park homestead was built by David Wallace in the late 1800's and remained in the family until the sale in 1922 when it was bought by John Woodside (grandfather of Ewen Wallace) whose family retained it until 1938. Another family named Wallace bought the property in 1938 and this family's descendants are still running it in 2005.David and Henrietta Wallace purchased the original holding and built Kergunyah Park homestead in the late 1800's running cattle on the property. They arrived in Australia in 1867 with their 3 children and were early settlers in the district. Their descendants still live in the district. Their family demonstrates how properties were passed on to the next generation.
