This book is of strong antiquarian interest but its significance to Warrnambool and district has not yet been established. This is a brown leather-covered book of 275 pages. The front of the cover has gold lettering. The book has a preface, 18 chapters with many illustrations and an index. The inscription is handwritten in black ink. This battle dress jacket is dated 1969 (manufacturing date). It was issued to the “Prince of Wales’s Light Horse’ Regiment however the date of issue is unknown. A Prince of Wales Light Horse unit was based in Kyneton, a neighboring town to Woodend. This jacket likely originated from the Kyneton area. The jacket type was still in use during the Vietnam war in which the Regiment participated.
