This children's book was produced to document the construction of the Nature Play Space in Warrnambool Botanic Gardens in 2020. It tells the story of what great community spirit, persistence and excellent teamwork can achieve; a nature play space for all to enjoy. The project was funded by the Victorian Government's 'Pick my Project' initiative and overseen by the Friends of Warrnambool Botanic Gardens in conjunction with the Botanic Gardens team and Warrnambool City Council.This book is significant as it documents the construction of the nature play space in Warrnambool Botanic Gardens. The Percy Uebergang family lived at Tooram Park, Allansford from 1912 until 1992. Percy and Myrtle Uebergang's children were twins, Ray and Joyce born in 1926 who lived at Tooram Park until their deaths, Ray in 1986 and Joyce in 1992. Neither Ray nor Joyce married and following the death of her brother Joyce set up the Ray and Joyce Uebergang Foundation which supports the local community. The first edition of this magazine was produced by associated elementary schools in the Omeo Shire. The magazine was published from 1920 to 1927 and 1963 to 1969. There was a special issue in 1985. In all issues there is writing by children from schools that have since closed down. This item reflects the changes in education in East Gippsland and is a useful comparison tool for literacy teaching. It also has historical articles for research.A 64 pp magazine with a torquoise and white coloured cardboard cover. This fine white glazed porcelain figurine is one of six donated together. The bisque material was easy to carve and allowed fine detail. Figurine ornaments were popular for table decorations between the mid-18th to early 19th centuries. This ornament was likely made in Germany, and German manufacturers began to use bisque material to make realistic faces for dolls in the 1850s.The set of six bisque figurines is representative of popular table decorations during the 19th and early 20th centuries.Fine glazed white porcelain ornament, carved to represent three children sitting on three brick fence pillars.
