Robin Boyd was appointed Exhibits Architect for the Australian Pavilion at Expo ‘67 in Montreal. The garden outside the pavilion featured a sculptural pool, a coral display, animal pool, a pit for kangaroos and Eucalypts and other native plants. The indoor exhibits covered aspects of Australian art and culture, architecture, industrial design and scientific innovation, such as the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Power Scheme, the Parkes radio telescope, the design of Canberra, and the Australian way of life.Colour slide in a mount. He served with the Hong Kong Medical Corp during World War Two and was interned at Pootung Camp, Shanghai, from 1941 – 45. He held an exhibition of his internment paintings in Melbourne in 1946. Lindsay returned to Hong Kong after the War, and supervised an Advertising Agency in Singapore, Kuala Lumpar, and Bangkok. In the 1950’s he travelled to Europe, United Kingdom, Spain and France. The "Glenelg" sank off the coast of 90 mile beach after leaving Lakes Entrance with the loss of 37 lives, only three survived. The passengers had embarked on a cruise to the lakes. It was announced on the Evening News when the wreck of the Glenelg was found 100 years later.
