There appears to be about 50 ladies in the photo with a two tour guides. From the sign it appears it was taken on 23 June 1993. The tour was run by Interasia Tours and advertised in The Answer. It was an 8 day tour to Beijing and covered places such as Temple of Heaven, Tiananmin Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Ming Tombs and the Great Wall of China. The photos of Legatees in fancy dress have 23 April 1970 stamped on the back. Also a party at Legatee Norman Lofts' house in London in 1974 and on the back it says Norman was preparing for Ascot June 1974. Some appear to be trips to visit other Legatees living overseas and social occasions held in different places. A special luncheon was held for World War 1 widows as a lead up to "Legacy Week". Legatees dressed up as moustached French waiters to add a bit of humour to the day. Due to its success it was held for a number of years. Legatee waiters included Legatees Lucky Luscombe, George Woodward, Stuart Leslie and John Stevenson (President in 1993). These colour photos were taken at the same time as the black and white photo (00909) used to promote the 1993 WWI widows luncheon.
