Pressed metal uniform badge for the Melbourne Tramways Board, workshop staff, available all lines. Round pressed steel badge with the words "All Lines" pressed into the badge around the top portion of the badge, the word "Car Works" and number "25" pressed into the lower half of the badge -with small horizontal lines within the individual letters. Has a brass finish with the Melbourne Tramways Board logo in the lower part of the badge. On rear badge two metal lugs have been soldered onto the badge and a leather strap with a button hole cut into to enable it to be worn on a uniform. Leather strap secured with wire. Used possibly from mid 1910's when the Board was formed until it was replaced by the MMTB in 1921. Large lever arch folder, containing many notices issued to platform staff and depot staff at South Melbourne depot from November 1975 through to Feb 1985, when issued by the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Contains ticket information and circulars, special arrangements, job advertisements, social club events, sale of old motor cars, circulars re tickets, sample tickets, notice of poll for election of union rep on the MMTB, job applications, results of applications for tram and bus driving, scholar concession tickets, lost passes, depot staff rosters for public holidays, track reconstruction. The two steel lugs would have allowed a leather strap to be fitted to the badge and clipped to a uniform or jacket. Demonstrates and yields information about the ESCo tickets of 1906, shows the variety of tickets and passes used.Framed - wooden surround, glass, set of 26 actual tickets and two sketches of passes, timber backing board with the title "Ballarat Tramways - Sample tickets", dated 1906. Sets out the various tickets used by ESCo at the time and most likely used as a training aid for new conductors on both the electric and horse trams. Not to be displayed in light or hung up, that is display with care as fading is likely.
