Mrs Mackenzie Gladys Dalziel Weatherly was married to Eng-Cdr Harold Ponsonby Mackenzie, former Ballarat College school council member 1925-1946.. Her son, Alastair J Mackenzie was a member of the Ballarat College Council 1957-73 & Ballarat Clarendon College Council 1974-80. Alastair was significantly involved in the purchase of 1415 Sturt Street. This property was extensively renovated and opened as the Elsie Morison Creative Arts Centre in 1985. About the author: Born in Melbourne, David Crotty has worked in museums since 1984. He has a long-standing interest in aviation history and has worked as a curator with the Australian War Memorial and the RAAF Museum. He is currently (2010) a curator in the History and Technology Department of Museum Victoria. Story of John Robertson Duigan and his flying creer, from his early years as a Melbourne school boy to his heroic activities as a pilot on the Western Front in World War One. Captain Orvin Clarence Jones Jr., who joined the U.S. Air Force from Virginia, was a member of the 17th Wild Weasel Squadron, 388th Tactical Fighter Wing. He was a crew member aboard 'suntan 02? when it went missing, and was lost with the aircraft. His remains were never recovered. After the incident, the Air Force promoted Capt Jones to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col). Today, Lieutenant Colonel Jones is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. His name is also inscribed along with all his fallen comrades on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC.Red coloured aluminium MIA USAF bracelet.Lt. Col. Orvin C.
