As "Innishowen" was demolished in 1976 this photograph must have been taken around this time. The Chicory Kiln shown in the photograph is situated on land owned by the McIlwraith family in the 1870s. The home of the Figuerola sisters. They were three artistic single ladies. In 1955 Carmen Figuerola published the little book "Family on Phillip Island" - a lovely story of the bland family.
