Set of 15 black and white views of Ballarat printed on a folded strip, glued within a grey colour cardboard folder, titled "Photographic View Booklet Ballarat". Booklet printed with an address area within a leaf and on the rear, an area where the sender could write their name. Produced by The Valentine Publishing Co. Pty Ltd Melbourne. The rear has a slit on the rear cover that allowed the folder to be secured. Pictures are: 1. Statuary, Ballarat Gardens - the flight from Pompeii 2. Sturt St looking west from the Town Hall 3. Twenty four page, centre stapled book within green Rexene covers with paper sides and gold blocked title "The Melbourne Electric Supply Co. Ltd. / Geelong Electric Tramways / Rules and Regulations / For Motormen and Conductors / And Bye-Laws". Provides 76 General Rules for crews and 34 Bye-Laws. Bye-Laws jointly authorised by City of Geelong, Borough of Newtown and Chilwell and Borough of Geelong West, under the provisions of the Tramways Act 1890. Dated 1929. Each copy has a book number stamped on the top right hand corner of page 1. Copy 1 - 739 Copy 2 - 765 Copy 3 - 766 Replaced by Reg. Item 3109 in 1932 by the SEC. Black and white print of bogie tram No. 22 and another single trucker at the City terminus, Sturt St, with the Town Hall in the background. A large number of passengers board and leaving the trams. Has a bus in the distance crossing Sturt St.. Tram has the destination of Sturt St. West. In the photograph are Anderson Paper Merchants, Terminus Cafe and Penfolds Wine shop. In the bottom right hand corner is an ESCo/SEC cable termination/switch box. 3217.1 - original photo ex SEC? 3217.2 - different crop - added 21/3/2021 - has more of the original image on the right side. On rear of photograph is a white dot with "5" in red ink, and in pencil "Car 22, renumbered as 37 in 1951 in order to consolidate the bogies cars from No. 34 onwards. This was the first bogie car to run in Ballarat and ran from 1945. Set of three foolscap size sheets, for ARE/ARHS/AREA (Vintage Train) Tour to Ballarat, on Sunday 5 September 1971, the last day of the Mount Pleasant, Gardens Via St. West Lines. 1. - Welcome Aboard circular - printed both sides on pink paper - which involved the running of two trains, special bus and tram arrangements at Ballarat, for the visit to Sovereign Hill. Gives details of the tram timetables, for the afternoon, train departure times, lunch arrangements and notes on bus and tram running if peak loads encountered. 2nd copy ex Peter Winspur, added 11/1/2007. 2. Victorian Railways S Circular, or special train notice, S2188/71, three pages giving list of special trains, altered platform arrangements at Flinders St., train schedules, alterations to goods trains, light engine movements, loads, motive power and tickets.
