Worn piece of old trolley wire (330mm long) of 89mm2 (?) cad copper wire. Taken from an old wire joiner within depot to be used as a sample of worn wire for use in ceremony of new trolley wire hand over on 26/11/96, when Victorian Minister of Transport, Alan Brown handed over new Trolley wire (2km) to Museum. Book titled "Melbourne Tram Review" written by R.A. Birrell Details the formation of the MTA, The Met or the Metropolitan Transit Authority from the MMTB in 1983, the changing nature of the fleet, depots and allocations of tramcars, listing of tram classes, with various technical specifications, including tramcar numbers and photographs. For the B class, includes those which were not in service at the time of publication. Two separate allocation listings are given, the last one being that at 19/9/1988. Cloth badge for sewing onto a jacket featuring a printed image of Ballarat Vintage Tramway No. 26 on a green and white background with a sewn red border. The badge has been backed onto a piece of stiff cloth and the red sewn border edge secured with a piece of adhesive tape. Produced by K. F. Yields information about the appearance of Geelong's trams in particular ex Melbourne J class trams after receipt in Geelong. This tram later became Ballarat No. 11.Black and white print from a Geoff Grant negative of a Geelong bogie tram entering Corio Terrace from the Geelong depot on 8/1/1956, while Pengelley 19 waits in the siding.
