Found by Roger Cummings and J Lewis in laneway running south from Western Beach Road between Dalgety North building and Dennys Lachelles building (old Corio Tannery site).

This is the second building erected by the Church of Christ. The photograph shows the opening ceremony on 1st December 1934. The building and furnishings cost 900 Sterling Pounds. The Samuel Wadham Wing was the second purpose-built accommodation building at International House at the University of Melbourne. The building was officially opened by Lord Richard Casey (1890–1976) on 23 March 1963.

This photograph was on display in the Orbost Information Centre - the Slab Hut - for many years. Originally the post office was not at Orbost at all but in the small settlement of Newmerella. The building in the photograph was completed and opened in 1898 at a cost of 1038/4/8 pounds. The post office building today is a replica of this building, opened in 2004 after a local campaign to retain a full post office in the town.The photograph of the early post office shows that it was a popular meeting place. There are a series of photographs in the collection which featured school improvements which were carried out on the building and the grounds in 1994 at the Bulla Primary School No. 46. The improvements included painting the school buildings, installing new playground equipment and laying our the school garden to include a vegetable garden. The first classroom to be built was a bluestone building, which opened in 1870.
