The Ross-Ensign Ful-Vue Camera was used between 1954 and 1959. It has a flat front plate extending around the viewfinder. It's red window at the back (helps with winding film on) is closable. The Kaolin quarries at Bulla were an important industry in the district and supplied clay products to the Cornwell and Hoffman companies in Brunswick. The Kaolin deposits were found in the 1850's and were considered to be some of the largest in the colony.A landscape photograph of a valley with a post and wire fence and a partial view of a farm gate in the immediate foreground. Edward Whitehead was a printer and publisher active in Melbourne during the latter half of the 19th century. Whitehead founded his printing business at 67 Collins Street East in 1864 and, though not focused on maps, began publishing his own series of maps of Victoria in 1867. He focussed on producing highly detailed folding maps of Victoria which included a very detailed index of place names. Malcolm Cameron, came from Scotland to Australia with his wife in 1862. From late 1862 they lived in Bacchus Marsh and remained there for the rest of their lives. After working as a shepherd for sometime Malcolm Cameron was able to acquire land for a farm a few kilometers north west of Bacchus Marsh. The farm was called Glen View but this was later changed to Grand View. It is known to have been a wheat farm, Malcolm Cameron died aged 89 in 1922. His wife died in 1926. In 1972 Ivanhoe Progress Association planned to fill in the wetlands because they felt it bred mosquitos, and they obtained a grant for this work to take place. When Brighton was first incorporated as a borough in 1859, the first seal and coat of arms of the municipality depicted a market gardener. Spade in one hand and fruit in the other, the gardener is surrounded by a cornucopia of produce, a ploughman toiling the field behind him, and a mill in the distance. It is underscored by the motto ‘By their fruits ye shall know them’.Oil paint on metal on shaped wood shield, depicting a figure of a standing male pioneer holding a spade in one hand and fruit in the other. A fruit tree directly behind him, two pineapples to the right and a cornucopia bearing fruit to the left. Behind the pioneer are depictions of the sea with a ship, a farmer with a horse ploughing a field, a steam train, and a windmill. A black banner at the top of the shield has inscription BRIGHTON which sits above the Royal Coat of Arms. The Vliet is a canal in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It starts at the Oude Rijn at Leiden and joins the Delfshavense Schie canal at Delft. Places along its banks include Voorschoten, Leidschendam, Voorburg, The Hague and Rijswijk. The canal was dug in 47 AD under command of Roman general Corbulo, who wished to connect the river Rhine, of which the current Oude Rijn stream in Roman times was the main branch, to the Meuse estuary. It is unclear what the canal's trajectory was beyond the current city of Delft; the Delfshavense Schie canal, which connects Delft to the Nieuwe Maas river was not dug until 1389. In the Middle Ages the Vliet was an important trade link that attracted all kinds of trade, as it flowed through the heart of the County of Holland. Windmills have been constructed alongside the Vliet, including the completely renovated mill 'De salamander' in Leidschendam. The Vliet area was particularly attractive among richer families, who built their mansions along its banks.An historic small town scene etched (or possibly printed) on thin metal and subsequently fastened to a plywood backing. The delicately presented scene is said to show the intersection of Old Church Street and the Vliet Canal bridge in Voorburg, as well as a section of wharf. On the canal are one large and two much smaller vessels. A very tall crane-like construction arises from the wharf to the roof of waterside buildings. The people are soberly dressed in possibly 17th or 18th century costumes.On the reverse has been written: "Oude Kerkstraat Brug over de Vliet Voorburg". (Old Church Street; Bridge over the Vliet canal; Voorburg). However, research proves that the church is actually the Old Church in Delft, a short distance further down the Vliet Canal.

This chain was part of the official regalia worn by the Mayor of the City of Brighton before the amalgamation into Bayside City Council in 1994. The chain was seen as an outward sign of power, authority, and responsibility and was a formal, full-dress type of regalia that was worn by the mayor over their robes at ceremonial functions. The large central drop medallion featured the design of the council seal and the links of the chains detail the name and date of each appointed Mayor. This council seal features the Brighton coastline with a pier extending to the water, a sail boat in the distance and a train on the right of the pier. It was displayed by Council on its flag and letterhead and in municipal buildings and can still be seen on the portico of Brighton Town Hall. The seal was used from 1919, when Brighton was declared a city, until 1970, when an official crest was issued by the British College of Heraldry. Brighton was first incorporated as a borough on 18 January 1859, it became a town on 18 March 1887 and was proclaimed a city on 12 March 1919.9 carat yellow gold and enamel mayoral chain for the City of Brighton. Consists of 61 small oval links, with a scroll listing significant dates in Brighton's history as a centrepiece and a large 'drop' medallion of the City of Brighton seal below. Each oval link has a central plaque inscribed with a mayor's name and dates of their office surrounded by a thin coiled edge and a thick decorative border. The earliest Mayor is W.P. Francis 1918-19 and the latest is K.D. Oliver 1994-95. The links are joined by cable chain and form a long circular chain with two crosspieces of additional links at the back, the upper crosspiece contains four links, while the lower piece contains three links. The chain has a large oval medallion/pendant of the City of Brighton seal which is surrounded by a thin coiled gold edge, a border containing raised lettering 'CITY OF BRIGHTON' above and a Coat of Arms below. This is also surrounded by a coiled edge. The oval piece is then wrapped around with a thick laurel wreath with small berries. The central part of the medallion contains a coloured enamel image of the Brighton coastline with sand in the foreground, a pier extending out into the water, a sailboat in the distance and a train on the right of the pier. Frank Wright was a renoun resident of Smeaton, where he was born on 2 August 1901. He lived at Laura Villa, and attended Smeaton State School. His father William was a gold miner and his mother's name was Sarah. Their family won many singing and instrumental awards. Frank was tutored by Percy Code and was awarded a gold medal for the highest marks in the ALCM examinations in the British Colonies at the age of seventeen years. He became the Australian Open Cornet Champion by the age of eighteen. A year later, Frank conducted the City of Ballarat Band, and later the Ballarat Soldiers’ Memorial Band. He formed the Frank Wright Frisco Band and Frank Wright and his Coliseum Orchestra. These bands won many South Street awards, and Frank as conductor won many awards in the Australian Band Championship contest. In 1933 Frank Wright sailed to England to conduct the famous St Hilda’s Band and was later appointed Musical Director of the London County Council, where he organized many amazing concerts in parks, in and around the London district. He was made Professor of Brass and Military Band Scoring and conducted at the Guildhall of Music and Drama. Frank was often invited to adjudicate Brass Band Championships around Europe, in Australia, including South Street and in New Zealand. The Frank Wright Medal at the Royal South Street competition is awarded to an individual recognized as making an outstanding contribution to brass music in Australia. He died on 16 November 1970.1).
