Entry ticket to the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956. Row B, seat 27 for the 4th of December 1956. Tickets were printed in 15 - two colour combinations based on 4 basic colour backgrounds and seven overprints. Thus there was a colour for each day of the Games. Has a strong association with a tour organised by the TMSV to Ballarat Boxing Day 1985 - issued as a souvenir for the trip.Edmondson pasteboard railway ticket, No. 49, undated, printed for use on The Tramway Museum Society of Victoria visit to Ballarat and Haddon on Boxing Day, 26 December 1985. Ticket is printed in three sections, light green, fawn and light green - marked as Flinders St to Haddon and back same day. Has two red vertical stripes. MMTB 2d ticket - black printing on green ink, 9 sections, punched for section 1A, ticket number D, Bk, 943866. Has a Bushels tea advertisement on rear. The donor advised that it was probably 1940's/1950's when went to school by tram Whitehorse Road, between Burke Rand Balwyn Road, though the ticket has been punched for a inner section. Demonstrates how ESCo managed Weekly tickets during the late 1920's and yields information about the way the system was arranged. The source of the ticket, NSW tramways is significant in that it was obtained by them as a sample. Morning and Evening Weekly Ticket, price 1/6, printed for Week 1, that is not available for Sundays or Holidays. Ticket printed on light weight card, in two colours, teal and orange, numbered 1338 available only between Mount Pleasant and Doveton St. Notes the conditions of use, the time available for which the ticket may be used and where.
