The Golden Square Rural Training School began in 1945, to train trainee teachers attending the Bendigo Teachers' College. Rural school relocated to Gander Reserve in 1952. Researched by Ken Curnow, Rural 1 student 1958 - 1964. The redundant Bristol building was relocated to the scout reserve at Koolamurt.
