Humphries seem to be the distributor of confectionery items to Baggaley business. Invoice dated September 10 1914. Items supplied include chocolate boxes, tins of toffees, show jars of confectionery. Christmas items included. Flimsy paper typed in purple ink.

Charles George Darvall (letter re him from Mrs Margaret Stevens, great grand-daughter). Reference to painting of Darvall being at Dudley House, Bendigo and that author stated that she would supply a 'short history' on GDV. Reference in letter to the Society having in its collection 'two examples of C G Darvall's illumination work'. A man wearing dark hat, waistcoat and trousers and a pale shirt is holding the reins of the horses, and two people who could be the Johns children, Percy and Cissie, are seated on the potatoes. The paddock slopes away and another hillside rises in the background. This is most likely Black Hill. dated c.1913.
