Kinglake Hall was rebuilt after the 1926 fires. This hall opened in 1927. It was in a derelict state when it was demolished in 1992 and a Community Centre was built at Kinglake Central. See alsoo SEPP_0010This photo forms part of a collection of photographs gathered by the Shire of Eltham for their centenary project book,"Pioneers and Painters: 100 years of the Shire of Eltham" by Alan Marshall (1971). The collection of over 500 images is held in partnership between Eltham District Historical Society and Yarra Plenty Regional Library (Eltham Library) and is now formally known as the 'The Shire of Eltham Pioneers Photograph Collection.' Black and white photograph. Duplicate of item no. 217. There seems to be a contradiction of dates, but the photographs are identical. Photograph appears to be taken from a newspaper due to its poor quality.Written on backing sheet, "Bought to make the Golden Jubilee of the Methodist Church in Ringwood 1929. Situated in Station St. now part of the R.S.L. Hall." and Black and white photograph of building with 'Jubilee Hall' written on the front of the building. Picket fence at front with two ladies standing in front of building. Photograph appears to be taken from a newspaper photograph as it is comprised of dots.
