Notebook - 100 ruled blue line pages centre stapled with card cover used by Inspector Harold De Dohse to record his observations and instructions to crews regarding uniforms, behaviour, operations, accidents and other offences. Has been ruled into 8 vertical columns to record "date, time, route, locality, conductor or driver, number, nature of Offence and action taken" Commences 1/12/1956 through to 3/5/1959. Has various date stamps in the book - the purpose may have to be to show that they have been recorded by the Board clerical traffic staff. Set of five colour prints of tram W5 725 derailed in High St Kew during track reconstruction work at the corner of Derby St Kew. Tram was bound for North Balwyn when it derailed on a section of track that had been dismantled, possibly when it hit or dislodged a track crossover. Tram has advertisements for Bonds, Tollana Wines, Park Drive cigarettes, .1 - tram derailed at the top of the hill down to Kew Cemetery. .2 - with workmen setting up the tram and place on the temporary transport wheels. The second axle box towards the drop centre is on an angle compared to the nearest axle box. .3 - close up view of the damaged truck. .4 - General view of the scene looking back towards Kew Junction. .5 - view of the damaged crossover section. Agfa Colour slide, cardboard, during 1964 at the time of the AETA Convention by Keith Caldwell of W2 219 parked in the yard at Camberwell depot showing the destination of Burwood, and route 77. The tram shelter at Riversdale Road is shown behind the tram. A very similar image was taken by Dale Budd at the same time and used on the front cover of Bellcord, September 2019 issue who advised in an email of 9/9/2019 that "Re the photo of 219, it is likely Keith was standing alongside me. The picture was taken during the 1964 AETA convention and I think many of the attendees were together when that photo was taken."
