The Sacred Heart Catholic church was opened and dedicated on 7/12/1884, and completed in 1922. Sacred Heart Mission is a medium-sized not-for-profit organisation that grew from the Catholic parish of The Sacred Heart in 1982. It became a separate legal entity in 1984. It addresses homelessness, social exclusion and disadvantage. The Op Shop is in the Church Hall at 87a Grey Street.
