This booklet has been produced in April 1902 for the Government of Victoria under the direction of the Minister for Agriculture, Hon John Morrissey M.L.A. It contains articles on agriculture in Victoria, including the dairying industry in the Western District. This journal is of some interest because of the photographs and information on dairying in the Western District in the early 20th century, including dairy inspection, milking controls in Koroit, prize-winning cows at Koroit and dairy bacteriology. This is a soft cover booklet of 102 pages - pages 350 to 452 of Part 4 of a journal published regularly (monthly?). The back cover is missing. The front cover is black and white and has an inset of a photograph showing wheat harvesting. The booklet is bound with cotton thread and shows rust where the thread is tied, perhaps from metal staples now removed. The cover has a slight tear and there is some staining throughout the pages. Water scheme trust was created by the Governor in Council, 23/1/1963 and consisted of 3 Councilors of the Axedale Riding of the Shire of Strathfieldsaye and 3 members appointed by the Minister of Water Supply. The waterworks opened in April 1964Exercise book from the Axedale Waterworks Trust containing list of names and amounts of money due. Several receipts are either stapled to the book or loose inside issued to the trust by various businesses: Modern supplies, D. Smyth and son, Hardware Co. of Australia, Country Roads Bendigo J.G. Hibberd. Several other loose handwritten pieces of paper are inside, mostly recording payments or money dues also, two water reading slips, a notice of extraordinary meeting and an estimated receipts and expenditure for the year ending 31st December 1966. A newspaper article with photo of Mr. John Giovanetti, secretary of Bendigo Sewerage Authority is also included. The book covers the years from 1963 to 1966. Reverend Arthur Preston (14/10/1912 - 19/03/1985) was born in Brisbane. Following ordination he served in Mareeba and Townsville, Superintendent of West End Methodist Mission in Brisbane, Associate Minister at Adelaide Central Mission, Associate Minister in the Glen Iris Circuit and was appointed Superintendent of the Central Methodist Mission in 1968. He received an Order of Australia award in 1982 for service to the community. Chandran Devanesen was the first professor at Madras Christian College. As the first Indian Principal of MCC, Chandran Devanesen is known for successfully transforming an institution influenced by Scots to one more Indian. B&W photograph of Rev.
