Yields information about the operation of the tram system when a delayed occurred at the Lydiard St Level crossing, how it was overcome. Also gives information about the Councils view of the level crossing itself.Photocopy, of an item in the Ballarat Courier, 5/5/1951 titled "Train Astride Crossing Trams Delayed Hour", following the delay in the crossing when a rail broke under a goods train. Held up trams and others for about an hour and half. Notes the SEC used a replacement bus service. Gave the City of Ballaarat space to complain about the crossing and its need to be replaced.
