Correspondence, Eureka Improvement and Progress Association letters
Arthur Jones from the Eureka Improvement and Progress Association was holding a centenary exhibition of the "Affair at Eureka" and was canvassing support for the event from the principal of the School of Mines and Industries, R. W. Richards for material for their exhibition. The correspondence details the school's inability to assist in the exhibition at this time.This correspondence refers to the centenary celebrations of the Eureka Stockade.6 pages detailing correspondence which is handwritten and typed, with an image of the Eureka monument on the letterhead. 1) Handwritten in blue ink with a colour image of the Eureka Monument on the letterhead. These meetings were held at the Illawarra Community Centre and the minutes include Present, National Anthem, Tributes, Apologies, Notice of convening the meeting, Life Governors, Confirmation of previous minutes and Reports from The Chairman, Financial. 1/10/1985 Mrs Heath, founding chairman of the Illawarra Community Centre highlighted that the Centre is based on a unique concept of integrating organisations which traditionally functioned in isolation. The outstanding success of the Centre at this time is consistent with the initial planning and development.
