Letter accompanied photographs taken around 1960 of Walsh Street House (Boyd House II), perhaps by six Japanese architect students who visited the house accompanied by Bruce Anderson, with permission granted by Robin Boyd. The photographs referred to are probably the ones in the reference below (item AV102).Torn top of A4 page. Sender details stamped in right hand top corner. Robin Boyd was involved in creating several TV series for the ABC University of the Air. 'Design in Australia' was an eight part series. (Items D184-D193 contain all the manuscripts except part six titled 'Communications'.) In Part 2, through a brief discussion of the history of Australian houses, both urban and rural, Boyd points out distinct Australian qualities that differentiate the domestic houses from their European and American origins.
