Inscription on plaque: "This Chapel was dedicated on Wednesday 1st August 1934 by Most Reverend Bishop McCarthy DD, Bishop of Sandhurst (Bendigo) for the House of Studies, Novitiate and Retreat Centre of the Society of Jesus (1934-1974) and after sale to the State Government was deconsecrated. Grave of Hazel Rust (died 07/01/1991) Plot# unknown, Greensborough Cemetery. . The Rust Family lived in Henry Street.Greensborough Cemetery was created when land was given for the cemetery by Mr William Poulter, a local settler, about 1864.
