Belgrave railway bridge looking towards Bayview Road from Terrys Ave, 1947. It shows a bus crossing the bridge onto (now) Belgrave-Gembrook Road, followed by a male cyclist wearing a dark overcoat and bowler hat. A man wearing a homburg hat is crossing the footbridge beside the main bridge towards the main street. There is a pale van parked (or driving past) a dairy on the corner of Bayview Rd and Belgrave-Gembrook Road. A brick toilet block is shown with a sign saying 'MEN' on a nearby lamp post.

B&W postcard, Rose Series P.2365, named 'At The Kiosk, Ferntree Gully, Vic.' Photo shows around twenty or more cars parked outside the kiosk in what is now Ferntree Gully National Park Several people are walking and standing in the carpark and on the paths. The kiosk is visible in the background with advertising signs outside, including one for Peters Ice-cream. Closer to the camera is a stone shelter. There are tall trees beside the carpark and in the background of the photo is a heavily treed hillside. The back of the postcard is blank.

Black and white photo of William Plummer (1855-1924). He was a solicitor at Thompsitt & Co, Oakleigh, and handled all Sir Matthew Davies' (1850-1912) legal work. He and his wife, Mary Ellen Plummer, nee Crowhurst, holidayed at "Lockwood", a Davies property, with their daughter Eva Victoria Crowhurst Plummer. The photo shows Matthew apparently sitting outside at a small table. He is pouring a drink into a glass from a small jug held in his left hand. He is smoking a pipe and is dressed in a suit and tie.

Black and white photo of Frederick William George Woods, b. 1889, Auburn, Vic., (parents William John Woods and Ada Maria Woods nee Smith), d. 16th August 1951, East Melbourne. He was an estate agent in Camberwell. He married Eva Victoria Crowhurst Plummer in 1913 and they had four children, Fred, Jack, Marjorie and Betty (the future Mrs John DeCoite). The photo shows a young man with dark, wavy hair. He is dressed in a three-piece suit and tie.

Short ear (3 screw) with worn trolley wire bent at either end. Ear - brass, with clamp on fitting used to hold trolley wire in position and steel bolt, steel spring washer. Trolley wire cut about 40mm on either side. One side has pulled out of ear - has no groove on one side. Shows how ear has worn while in service. Screws could not be removed while attached to wire. Sample of trolley wire taken from overhead (South Trolley) at ear 10, which has been heavily distorted, with metal flow under ear, and abrasion marks possibly due to trolley pole "bounce". Demonstrates aspects of the Ballarat Tramways management system of Traffic Inspector rosters and that they worked a 38 week. Gives two different arrangements.Typed sheet, carbon copy, giving two forms of rosters for Traffic Inspectors. Titled "Traffic Inspectors Duty Rosters" and dated 30/9/1953 has rosters for (A) - four traffic inspectors - twelve week rotation and (B) for three inspectors - three weeks rotation. Shows the hours of work (all 38 hour week), starting and finishing times, for each day of the week. Did it change with the number of inspectors available? That is with one of the four being on leave.
