Report, Examining Draughtsman's Report - Watts River Aqueduct, 20/07/1897
This Field Survey was commissioned by the Melbourne Board of Works and was used to position the Maroondah Aqueduct bridge north of Greensborough at its crossing point on the Plenty River. It incorporated the use of wrought iron water pipes and therefore is of lighter construction than other similar bridges in the district. It features a traverse of the Plenty RiverThe Maroondah Aqueduct bridge is a significant example of late 19th century engineering. A 4 page reproduction of an Office of Titles document. Book, Reflections - Ringwood State School 1889-1997
This book was created for the centenary celebration of the Ringwood State School No. 2997, located on Greenwood Avenue, Ringwood, Victoria. Construction began on the new building in 1921. NEWS insight - Pokies reflect the ugly side of gambling - by - Jeff Jones Police have denied a significent rise in Maroondah crime figures is related to the introduction of poker machines in the area. The denial comes in spite of an upsurge in crimes of deception and theft in Maroondah during 1996. Ringwood Senior Detective Glenn Powell last week said there had been "a few minor cases but nothing major in terms of gambling related crime".` -

Henry Beater Christian (1886-1962) , was a descendant of one of the earliest settler families in Kew. Employed at the Kew Asylum as a 'public servant', he was a skilled amateur photographer, photographing numerous scenes in Kew and on his travels around Victoria. The majority of his photographs date from 1916 to 1929. His finest photographs are housed in two photograph albums. Digital copy of a photograph from page 22 of the 47-page photograph album containing 261 gelatinous silver images, loaned by Diane Washfold with given to digitise and hold a copy in our collection. This photograph, dating from the 1920s, shows a dam wall being constructed.
