Catherine Maggs was married to James Maggs who belonged to a large pioneer family in the Ringwood area. They had nine children. James died in July 1940. (From the book "Ringwood Place of Many Eagles by Hugh Anderson)Small newpaper cutting.MAGGS.—On October 14, at her home, Kalinda Road, Ringwood, Catherine, beloved wife of the late James Maggs, loved mother of Oliver, Douglas, Lawrence (deceased), Ruby (Mrs. Bruce), Basil, Lewis (deceased), Ronald (deceased), Beulah (Mrs. Boppel) and James, aged 78 years. A wonderful mother at rest. MAGGS.—On October 14, at her home, Kalinda Road, Ringwood, Catherine, dearly loved mother of Beulah and mother-in-law of Bert. Peacefully sleeping.
