Numbered on the right end of the ticket. Static number (1 - 7) on left it may be to indicate the day of issue. On the rear of the ticket are the details of the ticket use, allowing the passenger one return journey between City and section 4. Not available on Sundays. Form Number TYE 2-10. Significant in being a sheet regarding tramcar braking systems and how considered at the time - 1950. No mention of sand in braking technique.Was contained within Reg Item 3519 in which located in the filing cabinet 8/2006. Small typed carbon copy instruction or "Notice to All Traffic Staff" titled "Braking", discussing the names of emergency brake. Notes air braked trams have on emergency brake only - the air brake. Stopping trams electrically is not regarded as brake equipment, and should not be used unless air brake is defective. Dated 24/11/1950. Yields information about tramway accidents in Drummond St Ballarat, during the SEC era and in particular one in 1954 when a tram was in a collision with a wool truck. Significance is reduced by the quality of the photocopy but gives the source details.Series of three photocopies of a photographs and article that appeared in The Courier, Ballarat newspaper of 17/4/1954 when tram No. 37 collided with a wool truck at corner of Drummond Sth and South Streets the previous day. An album of photographs with some postcards compiled by Wal Jack, a Ballarat tram and rail enthusiast of Bendigo and Geelong tram photographs. Some photographs are duplicated in the Museum's holdings.Has a strong association with Wal Jack and tramway developments until 1964. Given their extent are of particular significance to the Museum and the Provincial tramways. Features Bendigo and Geelong tramcars. Black binder cloth covered folder, two brass screw binders with grey paper inside covers holding some 40 grey colour foolscap size sheets of card on which photos have been mounted using photo corners so various types, captions in blue or black ink.
