One drawer has label of box on side ' Leggo's of Bendigo, Self Raising Roller Flour', parts of label missing 'Good cheap cake' recipe partly visible. On top of drawers, white paint tin stain. -

Clothing, khaki woollen WW2 army uniform jacket. Single breasted with four brown metal AMF buttons (2 cm). Two breast pockets, (16 X 18 cm) with fold over tabs. All button tabs fastened with 1.5 cm metal buttons. Long sleeves with stitched down cuffs with V shaped peak on upper side. Both sleeves lined with cream and blue striped cotton fabric. 30 cm split at centre back from hem. Button down epaulettes on each shoulder with three captain's pips and two black stripes. Cloth badges on top of each sleeve. 1. Navy and red unit colour, (3 cm X 2.5 cm). 2. Light green, brown and blue colour (5 X 5 cm) (unknown). 2.5 X 2.5 cm square metal badges on each corner at front of collar. 5.5 cm wide cloth belt with metal buckle. Belt attached on side seams at waist by leather tabs threaded through belt keepers and fastened with 1.5 cm buttons. Cap belonged to John Kenneth Martin, padre in 2nd Australian Corps AIF. Black cotton with all-over gold paisley type floral patterning. Fully lined with brown cotton fabric. A slight train at the back hemline, and two V shaped flaps-one either side of the back opening, which probably accommodated bussell-like padding. The skirt is tightly gathered at the back to facilitate the padding. Front of skirt is flat, with a little easing of gathers. Pocket inside right hand side seam. A dark brown corded piping edges the hemline. Two metal hooks and eyes, fasten the waistband. Relocated to Clothing Box 176 10.2.2022costume, female, long black and gold patterned skirt -

Three cut-throat razors, boed units in deteriorated condition: 22b - box marked Pittock,blade marked Bengall, manufacturers name on reverse side T. R. Cadman & Sons, Sheffield England 22c - red box has remains of Sheffield England marked on the smaller end of box. Blade is damaged and rusted. Blade black handle is notated with Bengall, while blade itself is etched Made Specially for A. Edments Pty. Ltd.; reverse notes manufacturer as T. R. Cadman & Sons, Sheffield England 22d - box has no discernible markings, but has minor taped repair on larger section. Black handle is unmarked, blade is marked Bengall, the reverse notes manufacturer as T. R. Cadman & Sons, Sheffield England. Items stored in Pittock coach builders box, reference 13000. -
Bendigo Historical Society Inc.Clothing - LEATHER HAT BOX, 1887
Leather, oval shaped hat box (in which is stored a men's silk top hat - 11400.834). Lined in blue velvet, and blue silk. Looped handle, 29cm long, attached with 2.5cm circular metal studs - possibly brass. An oval shaped insert, lined with blue velvet and silk, hold the inverted top hat. This hat was owned by John Sargood ( refer enclosed notes) whose initials are marked on trhe hat-box - J.S. - two cms high. An internal strap of black fabric, has a leather tab at one end with a metal key shaped fastener. Unfortunately the other end is broken off. This strap would hold the hat in the cavity. An outer leather strap, 4cm wide passes over the lid, and fastens at a 6.5cm diameter, circular metal disk with key lock. End of this strap is also broken - a piece of leather is inside the hat box. Beautiful black silk top hat, lined with a 6cm wide band of leather, cream silk, and cream fibre board, with the markings - Wallworth 270 Bourke Street, Melbourne. First Class Award Centennial International Exhibition, Melbourne, 1888-9. A signature on the headband reads Jn H Sargood. A small silk ribbon bow, possibly used to tighten the headband. Two air vents in top of crown - 0ne is external, with an eyelet in the centre of the crown. Sargood Family Notes in Clothing Box 157.Wallworth, 270 Bourke Street, Melbourne. First Class Award. Fine smooth black silk. Brim bound with black fabric. Side edges of brim rolled inwards. A 4cm wide felt band runs around the base of the crown. Underside of brim lined with black fabric. A 6.5cm wide band of cream leather lines the crown. A fine one cm wide silk ribbon bow finishes the seam of the leather. Upper part of crown is lined with cream silk.
