Article mentions gold being found at the greatest depth at which that metal has yet been obtained in Australia. Mentioned are the six deepest shafts in the Bendigo district. Theodore Ballerstedt left for Germany having sold his home, crushing battery and mine to Mr. Geo Lansell. He called the mine the '180'. Next mine north to the '180' was the Victoria Quartz.
