Frances Madge Killicoat enlisted on 5.11.15 in the Australian Army Nursing Service age 26 years, embarked for Eygpt 12.11.1915. Joins the B.E.F in Alexandria 26.3.1916, disembarks Marseilles 4.4.1916, hospital with Hay Fever 16.6.1917 later changed to Nasal Catarrh and then with Debility, rejoin unit 4.7.1917. From there she served in No 1 ACCS, 15 CCS and 10th SH. She was discharged from the AIF on her marriage to Capt S.O.Coen AAMC on 18.11.18. Posted to 2/7th Bn on 6.4.1940 and embarked for the Middle East on 15.4.1940, embarked for Greece 9.4.1941 and returned from there in June 1941. Embarked for Australia on 8.3.1942 and disembarked Ceylon 7.4.1942 and did not re embark until 12.7.1942 and arrived in Australia 4.8.1942. Transfers to 2nd Aust Tank W/Shops AEME on 3.10.1942 and then 2/4th Aust Base W/Shops, discharged from the Army on 3.10.1945. As a Stretcher Bearer over the period 24/25th April 1918 he was awarded the "MM" near Villers Bretonneux. Hospital 16.6.1918 with Influenza again on 28.9.1918 with Haemorrhoids.
