This uniform was worn by Lieutenant Colonel D J Hunter OAM RFD when serving with the 8th/13th Victorian Mounted Rifles. The large gold section has a large quantity of replica gems. The top of the gold medal is a crown set with red and white enamel. A ring is above the crown. The Australian Sports Medal award was instituted in the year 2000 and awarded for 2000 and 2001 before being discontinued.
