The Steavenson Falls is named after the Victorian Assistant Commissioner of Roads and Bridges, John Steavenson who arrived in Victoria in the early 1860s. The photograph shows the footbridge over the falls that was built after the Black Saturday bushfires which destroyed Marysville and the surrounding area.
