Has PTC and railway photo on front cover. Gives procedures, concession fares, Met Fare zones, colour coding of tickets, samples of tickets, including a used scratch card ticket (2 hour zone 2 concession) and a number of other tickets which have been stamped cancelled. Would appear that used tickets have been recycled for the publication, also has reproductions of concession cards. On page 19 gives information on free travel for police in uniform and conditions for bicycles, surfboards, prams etc, seeing eye dogs, pets and V/Line tickets. 1074.2 - 21 pages + 9 "PTC Customer Services Revenue Maximisation" form, yellow card covers bound with a black plastic comb binder - titled "Ticket Checker's Manual - Section 1 General Information", Section II, The Met, Section III Concession Cards - has a number of blank pages. A check ticket was issued by a conductor for each trip made. Has details of the availability on the rear. Notes that the ticket is available for trams, buses and light rail. Previous issues did not have light rail listed. The light rail to St Kilda and Port Melbourne commenced in Nov. 1987. Has The Met logo on the rear. Prepaid MMTB tickets for use on MMTB services. Has the conditions of use on the rear. These were printed in sheets and torn off as needed by the issuing hospital or service for use by an Incapacitated soldier. Has been punched at section 6 on the inbound journey. The MMTB 1975 Sections and Fares book for example on page 86 advises that they were issued to ex-servicemen who have suffered the loss of an arm as the result of war service. ... of Melbourne ticketing system that allowed travel in the CBD grid using ...These tickets were a replacement for the MetroCard Off Peaks introduced in 1980. However, the times of availability were now altered to being valid from 9am weekdays, but more importantly, could be used for return rail travel anytime that day. Like the MetroCards, they also allowed unlimited MMTB tram and bus travel within the Flinders, Spencer, Latrobe, William, Victoria and Spring Streets grid. No conditions were printed on the rear of these tickets. A website, no longer accessible, advised that the ticket was introduced on 27-8-2006 and was in use until the introduction of Myki tickets. Scholar's monthly ticket for use by under 15 years students. Has form number "TYE 3-570" in top left hand corner. Space for an expiry date to be stamped on the ticket and name, address and school of the student. The 1966 Schedule of Fares and Charges shows these tickets. Used as a SEC tramways employees pass. Demonstrates the badge used by the SEC for free travel on the trams.Stamped enameled round brass piece with an area of solder on the rear indicating where a retaining ring had been placed after the original ring at the top has been broken off. Has the SEC logo in the centre, organisational name (State Electricity Commission of Victoria) in white enamelled and outer ring the words "Electricity Supply Department, Provincial Tramways". This was in blue enamel. Has a strong association with the tours to mark the closure of the Bendigo Tramway system and Graeme Breydon.Edmondson pasteboard railway ticket, No. 0085, dated 12 Feb. 1972, for use on an ARHS tour to Farewell Bendigo prior to the closure of the system. Ticket base is pink with a thick purple stripe, which is printed in landscape format. Ticket number in reverse. Adult - Economy, available on the day of travel only and on the special train. Used to log ticket use and their value of PTC employees at one given station. At the time, PTC employees, - tram, train and bus were entitled to limited free intersystem train travel as part of their industrial awards.Logging documentation belonging to a now-superceded transit agency (since the 1990s) and free travel interstate..A set (5 pages in total) of printed paper. A serial number (4500) is printed on the upper right corner. The forms are printed like spreadsheets with boxes dedicated to different categories of information. Ephemera - Weekly Tickets - rail and bus St Kilda Bus lines - set of 7, Victorian Railways (VR), 1960s
Following the complete closure of the St Kilda - Brighton Electric street railway (tramway) in 1959, the Brighton St Kilda Bus lines operated a service under a contract with the Victorian Railways with a joint ticketting arrangement. These tickets are weekly tickets for various locations along the former tramway. Those tickets available for Melbourne have the conditions of travel on the rear. The two vertical stripes indicated that the ticket was available to pass through the gates at Flinders St or Spencer St, while the large cross indicated to a ticket checker that the ticket was not available beyond St Kilda station or to pass through a set of gates. All printed on a off white card. Passengers could often transfer from one service to another - eg changing from a tram to a bus, without having to pay a second fare. A transfer ticket would be issued on request and this along with the original fare ticket would be shown to the conductor or bus driver at the time of transfer. Check tickets would be issued by a conductor to record that the person had shown a periodical eg scholars ticket. This enabled passenger counting as well.
