Photograph of Bendigo sprinkler or scrubber tram taken at the depot. Shows the equipment provided on the tram and the lights for night working. The tram was replaced in 1954 by cross bench tram No. 17, converted for this purpose. One of a series of 7 photos (items 9108 to 9114) possibly taken at the time of the SEC takeover in 1934 to illustrate the type of tram that was being used at Bendigo. Possibly an SEC report photo. Shows the arrangements for two access roads, doors and yard arrangements. On the east side of the site are rails, water wagon, portable shed and other materials. Photocopy of a drawing prepared by Dave Macartney in the mid 1980's of the track layout of the Electric Supply Co. of Victoria's Ballarat Tramway system, excluding the single track to Sebastopol. Plan shows the location of the loops, loop type, street names, position of replacement loops installed by the SEC during the reconstruction, depot layout, powerhouse siding and railway in Lydiard St. North. Prepared from inspecting the Plans of Ballarat services drawings in the Ballarat Water Board's Offices. Drawn on the back of old import forms of a light weight paper and has shown through the printing underneath. Rose Series postcard No. P 10765 titled "Spring Street Gardens, Melbourne", looking southwest. Has two cable trams in Macarthur Street, the first one with a destination of "Nth. Fitzroy" the second one "Spring Street," A lady is sitting on the lawn in Gordon Reserve while a gardener is watering the lawns. Note the Victorian terrace house on the corner of Collins and Spring streets to the right of General Charles George Gordon statue, this was demolished around 1928 to make way for Alcaston House built in 1929.
