Robin Boyd was on the judging panel for the American Institute of Architects, in conjunction with Sunset magazine, "Best houses" in the West Coast USA in 1965. Interesting commententary is given about the 364 houses entered and the award-winning houses. Some conclusions about what is new in planning are drawn. Comparisons are made with the best Australian houses and landscape architecture of 1965.
