This hat was worn by members of the Country Fire Authority on ceremonial occasions.A peaked black woollen gaberdine fireman's hat with a black petersham band edged with silver binding. There is a silver badge with the letters CFA- Lieutenant in the middle of the band. On each side there are two silver buttons with 'cfa' stamped on them. Attached to these two buttons is a black plastic band. There is green plastic under the peak. The bowl of the hat is lined with red woven cotton and manufacturing details are stamped in gold. Sculpture was made by a personal friend of the subject in the mid 1940's and displayed in the home of the subject's son, John B. Crosbie until 2001. Bernard Crosbie (subject) was the nephew of Michael Loeman, former Shire of Bulla President and owner of 'Glen Loeman'. Dog tags were issued by the Shire of Bulla to all dog owners who resided within the Shire. The dog tags were used to identify dogs and to control wandering animals in the area.A gold metal dog tag with a small key ring issued by the Shire of Bulla in 1982. The lettering on the tag is engraved in the concave side of the tag. The tag is in a small brown envelope which has been fastened with staples at the end. The words Regd. The knitting needle gauge was used as a guide to the needle sizes used in Britain and Australia before metric measurements were adopted for weights and measures in the mid 1970's.A silver metal knitting needle gauge in the shape of a bell with different sized holes in the middle numbered from 1-5 and slots around both sides numbered from 6-22. These holes were used as a guide to gauge the size of knitting needles. The tins were used by the Colonial Sugar Refining Co. to store and sell treacle which is a by-product of cane sugar and molasses. The tin is labelled with the imperial pound measurement so it preceded metric weights and measures.A green, red and gold tin used to sell and store treacle. Two stick of sugar cane decorate the front and the back of the round tin. The tin lid on the top of the tin needs to be levered open. The tin's capacity is 2 pounds. The tin was designed and used by the Colonial Sugar Refining Co. to store and sell golden syrup which is a by-product of cane sugar, molasses and treacle.
