Lt Col Pearson served in the Australian Army from 1930, then in World War 2. Postings included 1/54 AA Coy in Darwin and and 2/6 Aust Armoured Regt in New Guinea. After the war he was appointed Commanding Officer of 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse Armoured Regiment (CMF).
